Team Energy
event overview
Team Energy is a high-impact corporate team building activity designed to energise, engage and connect teams. In this fast-paced event, groups of 6–8 people compete to build the most profitable renewable energy empire. Over the course of two hours, participants step into the world of sustainable business strategy, making decisions around solar, wind, hydro and geothermal energy. The result is a dynamic team development experience that blends collaboration, competition and sustainability with real-world business challenges.
what happens on the day?
The event begins with each team creating and branding their own company headquarters. From there, they dive into renewable energy investment, choosing from solar farms, wind turbines, hydro plants and geothermal projects. Participants assemble model kits of their chosen technologies and complete themed challenges to activate revenue streams.
But the green energy market is unpredictable. Teams will need to adapt as fictional news reports shake up the game, simulating real-world events like heatwaves reducing wind power or volcanic ash impacting solar efficiency. To stay ahead, companies can purchase newspapers that reveal what’s coming, allowing them to pivot strategy.
Along the way, teams boost profits by launching billboard marketing campaigns, trading shares with rival companies, or expanding their headquarters. The event concludes with a final company valuation, where the highest share value decides the winners — crowned as the ultimate green energy tycoons.
Team Energy is more than just a game. It’s an immersive corporate event that builds teamwork, strategic thinking and problem-solving while reinforcing the importance of sustainability and innovation in today’s business landscape.
