BAM PPP is part of the Royal BAM Group, a Netherlands-based €9.5bn world-wide construction services company, ranked amongst the largest construction companies in Europe. The company has been involved in the public-private partnerships and the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) since its inception and is dedicated to securing and operating PPP/PFI contracts. To achieve this they combine the expertise from a number of existing divisions - design, construction, financial planning and facilities management. The result is a highly motivated team and a track record of successfully completed projects that extends across the health, education, law & order and commercial sectors.
BlueSky Experiences organised a team building day for BAM PPP one year and the client was so impressed they wanted to come back for another event the following year. BAM PPP were looking to organise their annual overnight conference and team building event again with BlueSky.
The Team Building Event
BlueSky were responsible for the organisation and management of the entire event. They organised for the BAM PPP team to hold a company meeting in the morning at Gleddoch House Hotel near Greenock. This hotel was recommended by BlueSky due to its close proximity to the client's office as well as being an excellent venue for an event of this style.
It was very important to BAM PPP that the team building activities within this event was creative, collaborative and inclusive, allowing everyone in the team to be fully involved regardless of their age of physical ability.
The Big Picture team-working activity was chosen by the client to not only provide a collaborative and inclusive event but also reinforce their business strategy and key messages. The Big Picture is a creative and interactive activity that teams work through to complete a visual representation of the client's vision or strategy. BlueSky design and develop the image prior to the event, and the team will have no idea until the activity is complete. On this occasion the image included a carbon footprint, a globe and two building projects that BAM PPP had ben involved in. This image was fundamental to their key message in creating "Excellence in Sustainable Public Private Partnerships".
The day was rounded off with a gala dinner at Gleddoch House Hotel, organised by BlueSky.
