Peter Vardy is one of the most exciting names in motor retailing, a Scottish car dealership with a fresh approach and a mission to offer something different to both colleagues and customers. Passionate about their industry and determined to challenge old ways of doing things, but drawing on traditional values such as showing respect and providing exceptional service to their customers - all the time, every time. The culture is to create employees satisfaction which is the route to customer satisfaction.
BlueSky Experiences were approached by the Extra Time Partnership on behalf of Peter Vardy to create a family fun day for over 300 employees and their families. The ultimate goal of this family fun day was to reward the families and employees of all of the Scottish dealerships. The day had to have something for everyone regardless of the weather as well as creating a memorable day with a real WOW factor for everyone regardless of age.
Through a process of in-depth discussion and meeting with Extra Time Partnership, BlueSky Experiences developed a programme to provide a family fun day to top them all. With the BlueSky venue being the venue of choice the problem of poor weather on the day was reduced dramatically due to the scale of the indoor facilities at BlueSky. The main theme of the activities during the day was that they must have an Olympic feel for all age groups. This was achieved by having a Primary School Sports Day competition as the main event between the dealerships and their respective families.
The activities for the children incorporated bungee trampolines, large inflatable slides, face painting, quad bike trains, water walkers and circus skill entertainment.
The activities for adults included archery, air rifles, quad biking and falconry to name but a few.
Throughout the day, the BlueSky DJ kept the atmosphere going and our resident chefs prepared some well-earned burgers and sausage rolls, not forgetting the special requests for chips!
The day was rounded off with a tug o'war tournament and the winning teams standing proudly on the podium.
