Scottish Thistle Awards Finalist 2009

James, Suzie and Anna headed to the EICC in Edinburgh last week for the prestigous Scottish Thistle Awards.

Midge Ure hosted the awards and also provided the entertainment later in the evening which was absolutely fantastic!  I am sure everyone remembers that he co-wrote and produced the Band Aid hit "Do They Know Its Christmas" one of the best selling singles ever. Although it's not quite Christmas yet he belted out the hit with the whole audience joining in!!

This year however  we didn't win in our category of "Marketing Initiative" but I think its fair to say we were all absolutely delighted that we got down to the last 3 out of 25 entries! 

Lets see what happens next year!!

BlueSky Experiences With BBC Alba - Breab!

Two episodes of Breab were hosted at BlueSky Experiences Perth venue.  We were tasked with creating challenges for six young Gaels.  Communication and team work were the key to success in the physical challenges the teens faced at our venue just outside Perth.  So long as they were not scared of heights and enclosed spaces, they would get on great!!

What a two days the youngsters had!  From  low rope challenges through to our 125 m Zip Wire and then blindfold driving - they had a blast! 

I think our Event Managers Stuart and Iain probably had the biggest challenge though working out what was going on as the participants all spoke in Gaelic during the filming process ........

Our aim now is to gain the coveted Grade 5 which we are working towards as we speak!
