Less than traiditonal , but perhaps much more fun as there is a bottle of whisky to the victor!! Stand on top of the half whisky barrel and toss the haggis and see how close it can go. The winner takes the bottle. The guest in the photo needed a rest beofre tackling this physical and cerbral challenge!!

 

Take the mighty caber(slightly reduced in size!!) and attempt to throw it, with one rotation in the air landing as near the 12 O'clock position as possible/ Easy? It must be!!

 

Then tackle the Weight O'er the high bar. How high can it be thrown? Will the competitors manage to throw "Big Jock"- our heaviest weight over the maximum height? We also have Big Doug and Big Tam and even an "Awfy Big" for the strongest of the strong!!

In the same vein as the haggis malt challenge, this event is "newer" to the highland games scene, but still great fun. Guests try and throw the wellies into the painted tyres to achieve the highest score. Accuracy counts!

Another "heavy" event , now common in the world's strongest Man and Women compeitions. Flip the tyre over and over down the course in the fastets time. Phew!!!

Sprint down the course with our special weights to win the maximum points for your team. Naturally there are a few small obstacles which have to be overcome!! (Not to mention the special clothing which must be worn!!!)

A great finale for evrybody to try and beat the other teams. Skill and cunning, (Sometimes helped by weight), combine to ensure a great end to the afternoon.
