Ride the rapids of Scotland on a white water raft You dont need an exotic foreign location to shoot wet n wild rapids in a white water raft, because Scotland has plenty of white water of its own, offering a choice of rafting runs of different technical grade and length. The dam fed rivers are best in summer; naturally fed courses are more weather dependent, but the big graded rivers are still very much an option in winter or off season.
Here in Perthshire the UKs biggest river by flow, The Tay, runs the gamut of whitewater experiences from easy to hardcore. Its a great place to start, and being loch fed is brilliant in summer. You dont need experience. There are outings to suit every age group and ability and it can be a perfect place to experience rafting before venturing on to a bigger trips.
